The journey begins in the peninsula of Kii at Kumano: a pilgrimage way called Kumano Kodo starts in Osaka or Kyoto and arrives at Kumano: very nice paths through the forests for reaching old sanctuaries.There are hot water sources and the local inn "riokan" receive the visitors.Also there plantations of green tea.Then we arrive at Koyasan, the center of the Japanese Buddhism.In a temple there is a traditional wedding ceremony.Near a huge cemetery in middle of giants trees.Next: the town Nara , the first capital of Japan. deer,which are considered as the messengers of God, are walking among the temples.Then we go to Osaka, an important port and trade center.Not far Kyoto, also a former capital of Japan with the Nijo Castle.We go then to Miama; a village where people work with indigo.In Myasu we see the festival of the spring (shintoist ceremony).At Kinosaki there are hot water sources.Then we arrive at Hiroshima, a visit to the Palace of the peace.On the island Miyashima people grow oysters.Then we go to Kyushu, at Kumamoto there an old castle.Near this town we visit the green tea plantations of¿f the Nagata family and finally we arrive to a volcanic zone with the Wakadaki volcano.
